You can use PS or AI to create static stickers and use After Effects to create dynamic stickers that can be exported by VE Exporter. Now, let's learn how to use VE Exporter of After Effects to export stickers.
Steps:
Three ways to create stickers:
Import external footages directly. Designers can replace default sticker with a static or dynamic sticker created in PS or AI design software directly or from the internet by other designers and then export the sticker in PNG sequence format.
Import external footages and then add basic After Effects animations to the footages such as position, rotation, offset, scale, transparency.
Import external footages and then use After Effects to create complicated effects. You can use any function of After Effects or any third-party plugin to finish the design but the final exporting format must be in PNG sequence. Later, replace the default sticker with this PNG.
Load template composition. After you create stickers following the above steps, click load template composition and the sticker will be imported with VE Exporter.
Before exporting the sticker template, there are three points needed to be taken in mind:
If you choose the first two ways to create stickers, the format of image footages must be in PNG, JPG or GIF; other formats are not supported.
If you choose the last way to create stickers, you can import any footage format and create sticker with any special effect plugin of After Effects. But you have to make sure the final exporting format must be in PNG sequence and then replace the default sticker with this sequence.
In the final exporting result, only one layer can exist in sticker composition, a image layer or a sequence layer. If more than one layers or other format layers exist, there will be an error. The preview effect is the final effect.
Last, click the Export Template and set up a new folder in your computer then export it to the new folder.
