What is VE?

VE, short for "Violet Engine", is a cross platform video creation and rendering solution.
VE solution contains 2 parts. VE Exporter and VE SDK.

VE Exporter is an After Effects plugin. Video designers can use it to export their After Effects video design projects to a custom project format - VE template.

VE SDK is a cross platform software development kit that can load, modify, preview and render VE templates. VE SDK supports iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Cloud Server platforms.

So, by using VE solution, designers can export their design works to VE templates and let other users to modify their works and render them to video files on iOS devices, Android devices, PCs or mac computers.

Background rendering part is used to render or preview modified templates. This part has very simple APIs, you can set up the whole template render or preview process with just 4 lines of code.
