Here are all the supported After Effects features in detail.
Layers are a basic building block of projects in After Effects. You can use layers to modify footage display styles or create animations. Here are the layer types we support.
Image Layer
Image layers are the layers use static images as footage, we support images with JPG and PNG formats.
Video Layer
Video layers are the layers use video files as footage, we support videos with H264 encode format.
Image Sequence Layer
Image sequence layers are the layers use a sequence of images as footage, we support images with JPG and PNG formats.
You can also use GIF images as image sequence.
Null Layer Null layers are layers without any footage. They are used to store animations.
Solid Layer
Solid layers are layers with solid colors.
Precomp Layer
Precomp layers are layers use precomps as footage.
Text Layer
Text layers are layers use text contents as footage.
Adjustment Layer
Adjustment layers do not have footages. Any effects applied to an adjustment layer affect all layers below it in the layer stacking order. An adjustment layer at the bottom of the layer stacking order has no visible result.
3D Camera Layer
3D camera layers are used to simulate real cameras to view 3D layers. For now, other than transform properties, VE only support camera zoom property for now, properties such as camera depth of field and camera lend blur are not supported.
Video layers are very useful in VE templates. I you are using features VE doesn\'t support currently, you can just pre-render other layers and animations as video files, then use video files to replace those unsupported elements.
Image sequence layers have pretty big impacts on VE SDK performance, so be careful to use them.
Parent and Child Layer Relationship
Parent and child relationships between layers in After Effects are fully supported.
Layer Track Mattes
VE supports all the track mattes in After Effects.
